# About I'm In The Book

Hi -- I'm the founder, and I'm probably the only person you'll ever talk to here. I run
I'm In The Book myself from Central Florida. When you email us, you're not reaching a
call center or a big company. You're reaching the person who made your book.

## Why I Made This

I built I'm In The Book because I saw what happens when a grandchild visits. The photos
pile up, the stories get retold at dinner, but eventually the phone goes back in the
drawer. I wanted to turn those visits into something that lives on a bookshelf --
something a grandchild picks up and says "read it again."

Every book features your grandchild and their grandparents together in the
illustrations, doing the things you actually did: golf cart rides, baking cookies,
swimming at the pool. It's your visit, told as a story.

## How the Books Are Made

Modern AI tools do the drawing and help write the story: illustration software creates
the pictures from your photo so they look like your grandchild, and language software
drafts a story around the scenes you picked. Then I personally review every single page
before your book is delivered. The software draws; I decide it's good enough. If a page
isn't something I'd proudly give my own family, it gets fixed before you ever see it.

## Your Photos

A grandchild's photo deserves more care than most websites give it. Your photo is used
for one thing -- creating your book's illustrations -- and is never shared, sold, or
used to train anything. It's deleted from our servers 90 days after delivery, or sooner
if you ask. The full details are in our
[Privacy Policy](https://iminthebook.com/privacy), in plain English.
