What We Collect

When you use I'm In The Book, we collect:

• Photos you upload of your grandchildren, used only to create your book's illustrations
• Names and ages of the characters in your story
• Your email address so we can send you your book
• Payment information processed securely by Stripe (we never see your card number)
• Shipping address if you order a printed book

How We Use Your Photos

Your photos are private and secure. They are used only to create illustrations for your book. We never share, sell, or use your photos for any other purpose. Our illustration technology analyzes your photos to create artwork that looks like your grandchild.

When We Delete Your Data

• If you don't complete your order: photos deleted after 7 days
• After your book is complete: all photos, illustration data, and generated images deleted after 30 days
• You can request immediate deletion anytime by emailing [email protected]

Who We Share Data With

We share your data only with services needed to create and deliver your book:

• Replicate (illustration processing)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Lulu (book printing and shipping, for print orders only)

We never sell your data to anyone, ever.

Children's Photos

We take extra care with photos of children. Photos are encrypted during storage, transmitted securely, and automatically deleted on schedule. We do not perform facial recognition, demographic analysis, or any processing beyond what's needed to create your book's illustrations.
